The weekly market of Sousse is a great fun for shopping lovers. It takes place every Sunday in the Souk El Ahad complex, south of the bus station. You can find everything you need from fresh products, handicrafts and souvenirs. The market is filled with Tunisian handicraft products such as thick carpets from Kairouan, carved copper lamps, embroidered dresses, ornate ceramic tea sets, multicolored leather slippers, olive wood pieces such as figurines, cutlery and kitchen utensils, and there are plenty of food stalls to sample the local cuisine.
