Located in the former Villa Casalet since 1901, the Swermund Ludwig Museum displays art from antiquity to neoclassical times. The medieval sculpture collection is one of the museum's highlights. In addition to the many temporary exhibitions, the museum also offers an educational program. Intense and specialized in the arts throughout the ages. Thanks to the donations of the citizens of Aachen and many other donors, the museum's extensive collections are named after the three major donors, Barthold Suermondt and Irene and Peter Ludwig.
