The State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan, formerly known as the National Museum of Turkestan and the Lenin Museum, is a prestigious museum that was founded in 1876. This landmark is famous in the international community for the presence of rare exhibits in it, as there is an alabaster inscription of Buddha and many remains of Buddha statues dating back to previous centuries and decorations Majestic mosaics and tools dating back to the Stone Age. In the museum there is also an Islamic section that contains an impressive collection of Arabic manuscripts, royal decrees from the Timur dynasty, the Emirs of Bukhara, and many more.
