Information about Stanmer Park
Stanmer Park is a large open park directly to the west of the University of Sussex and to the northeast of Brighton in the county of East Sussex in England. Stanmer Village, Church and Town Hall are located within the park where they were all private until Brighton Council bought them in 1947. It is now a local nature reserve. Today the park is open to the public, and there is a café in the village. Guided walking trails are sometimes available, particularly "Bat Walks" where attendees witness the large local bat population.
