Since it opened in 1990, it has established itself as one of the city's premier fine arts venues. Next to the Standard Bank for Cultural Development, it is operated on a non-commercial basis, and every year, the gallery displays his work by the local art world Karim, and from time to time, the venue hosts major international performances.
