Information about St Michan's Church
This Protestant church was built on the site of a Danish Christian church built in 1095 to serve the Vikings remaining in Ireland; It is the only church on the north side of the River Liffe that preserves the remains of the Viking foundations. The current church was built in 1686 for the parishioners of the Church of Ireland, and inside the church there are some wonderful woodwork, so if you're near don't miss it.
