St. George's Anglican Church dates back to the nineteenth century and is located in Georgetown next to the Penang State Museum and Art Gallery. It is the oldest Anglican church in Southeast Asia and one of the oldest buildings on the island of Penang. It has a beautiful Greek design with marble floors and stunning oil paintings. Outside the building is a monument to Sir Francis Light in the form of a Greek temple.
