St. Catherine's Hill is a 58-hectare nature reserve rich in flowers and chalk pastures, home to some amazing wildflowers and more than twenty-five different species of butterflies, a high-walled Iron Age fortress, and the buried ruins of the Norman church that granted the site Its name, along with its many burial mounds and mass graves, also offers stunning views of Winchester, the Eichen Valley and the surrounding countryside.
