Soknopaiou Nesos, or the island of the crocodile god, is an archaeological island dating back to the Greek era. It includes the ruins of the ancient Ptolemaic city. It contains the remains of a small square-stone temple, tombs and stone corners. The ruins of that city, its walls, and its roads still remain until now. It was called the wild lions because it had a 400-meter-long road that represented a temple built of stones, with black on its sides.
