The National Picture Library is a picture library based on the National Institute of Anthropology and History, located in the state of Hidalgo. It contains the most important photographic collection in the country, protecting about 900,000 photographic objects from various collections and donations distributed in 46 collections; It represents the works of more than a thousand authors and covers a period of time extending from 1847 to the present day. This library can be described as the true legacy of the city of Hidalgo.
