Şile Castle, or as it is called Çaklı Castle, is a historical Ottoman fortress, which was built to monitor the enemy and repel attacks that came from across the sea. The castle was characterized by a unique and different architectural design, with defensive strongholds, forts, watchtowers, and tunnels for storing food and weapons.
