Sigiriya Castle is one of the most important historical monuments in Sri Lanka, and has great archaeological significance that attracts thousands of tourists every year, and is referred to by locals as the eighth wonder of the world. It is located in the heart of the island between the cities of Dambulla and Habaran on a huge rocky plateau made up of magma Volcanic at a height of 370 meters above sea level and 200 meters above the surrounding bush, it offers a stunning panoramic view, and includes the remains of a ruined palace surrounded by an extensive network of fortifications, dense gardens, ponds, canals, alleys and amazing fountains.
