The Shumen Plateau Natural Park is located in the eastern part of the Danube Plain near the city of Shumen. It is located on the territory of the Shumen Plateau, with an area of 3,929.9 hectares. It was declared a natural park in 1980 with the aim of preserving the valuable species of plants and animals in it, as well as protecting its landscapes. The charming natural landscape and its tourist areas and places of rest, and the highest point in the park is 502 meters above sea level, and provides a wonderful view of the city of Shumen and the surrounding areas, and has a moderate continental climate and ideal natural conditions for practicing various outdoor activities.
