In addition to its captivating history and culture, AlUla is home to a variety of wild flora and fauna, which necessitated the establishment of the Sharaan Nature Reserve, which covers an area of about 1,500 square kilometers of rocky valleys, scattered desert and valleys covered with wildflowers. The mission of the reserve is to restore, protect and preserve the original delicate ecosystem.
