The Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas was built of wood in 1392 and converted into a stone church in 1495. The Church of St. Nicholas was the first Orthodox church to be built in Transylvania. Besides the church, it was also the first school in Romanian (1495), and it is now a museum that displays the first textbooks Romanian, printed in Braشوفov in 1581.
