Sirat den Fake fortress is located southwest of Perpignan on the highest hill in the Roussillon plain. It was built in 1885 to protect Perpignan from any Spanish attack, the place where the Union camp was organized during the conflicts between Spain and France in 1793, and later converted To a powder store, the building comprises forty rooms, and is surrounded today by a milking garden that offers exceptional panoramic views of the Roussillon plain from Albris to Corbeys and from Canegu to the sea.
