Information about Secret Buddha Garden
The Secret Buddha Garden is located far from the hills in the interior of Kusamui. It offers wonderful views and an unusual group of statues amid the surroundings of the forest. The gardens is a fruit farm belonging to an ancient Samui (Khun Nim), who in 1976 began building several statues and temples around his family's green land. The statues depict a number of animals, deities and humans in different poses, and carve many figures that mainly represent Buddhist folklore. Khun Nim continued to develop his garden until his death at the age of 91. Each statue has a story to tell, and most Thais will know the meaning and legends behind these exciting artworks.
