Information about Saxon Gardens
It is the oldest public park in central Warsaw and covers an area of 15.5 hectares. It was founded in the late 17th century, and opened to residents in 1727. It is one of the first publicly available parks in the world. It was considered the site of the Warsaw fortifications "Sigismund Walls", and part of the palace of Andrei Morstein's powerful aristocratic family in Warsaw. This gorgeous park features tree-lined boulevards, Baroque sculptures, and a beautiful 19th-century fountain.
