Santo Domingo Monastery, located in the Montserrat region of Buenos Aires, this monastery was built in colonial times. In order to reach it later, here is also the tomb of the Argentine national hero, Manuel Belgrano. Its importance increased when the British attempted to besiege Buenos Aires in 1806, as the locals sought refuge in this church and barricaded themselves in it until the arrival of military support.
