One of the highlights of the Serra de Sintra National Park is the Beninha Temple. It includes a chapel and a remote and secluded palace. It has a beautiful Baroque interior and Azulejo tiles depicting the life of the Virgin Mary. The monastery stands atop a rugged outcrop and offers stunning views of the entire Sintra coast. On a clear day, the Burlingas Islands can be seen from the north and Cape Specialia to the south.
