San Roque Square is a small open area located in front of the San Roque Temple in the historic center of Guanajuato, Mexico. The arena is of great importance in the city as the venue for the Festival Entremsis Cervantinos, and the square was chosen by director Enrique Roylas to host an open-air play in 1952, which was successful enough to become an annual tradition before it was replaced by the larger festival. in 1972.
