San Nicolas de la Villa is a church in Córdoba and one of the twelve Ferdinand churches built in the Gothic style in the city after its conquest by King Ferdinand III of Castile, hence its name, and the church received a lot of renovation that was added in the Recent years like the addition of the main gate in the Renaissance style. The octagonal, defensive-looking tower was reconstructed during the era of the Catholic Kings over an old Islamic minaret in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and many elements of the church were modified until it got its present appearance.
