The cave of the San Michele gunboat was previously used as a defensive place for the city during the war period, where cannons and ammunition were placed, and it is located near the city walls, and was designed specifically to defend the Sant'Agostino Gate. Tourists enjoy watching limestone stalagmites and stalactites that were formed inside it as a result of continuous limestone deposits, some of which are about 3 meters long.
