Samara Regional Museum of Local History It is one of the oldest museums in the Volga region. The museum and its branches are located in several buildings in the historical center of the city. More than 180,000 objects are stored in the museum’s warehouse. The museum contains collections of antiquities, natural sciences (paleontology, science mineralogy, zoology, botany), along with an explanation of the historical way of life and ethnography. In addition, there is a very interesting collection, which is a collection of rare books and documents dating back to the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries, also featuring cold steel and firearms of Russia, Asia and the West from the fourteenth and twentieth centuries .
