The Museum of Local History is located in one of the few remaining residential buildings that characterize the Biokola district of Rovaniemi. It is an old museum that was opened to visitors in 1959 and is located in a local farm dating back about a hundred years from now. The building was designed in the imperial style and furnished in the traditional local style. . It displays many exhibits of traditional handicrafts used inside or outside the home, such as fishing tools and others.
