The Museum of Romanian Literature is located in the heart of the city of Iai in the memorial house of Pogor, which is called the “House with Lighted Windows”, in whose rooms some of the figures who distinguished the modern history of Romania met, and this house at that time belonged to Vasile Pogor; One of the founders of the famous literary society "Junimea", which hosted countless political meetings, this house hosted the Museum of Roman Literature in 1972, and benefited from restoration work during the period 1994-2006, and collects its permanent exhibition, which was reorganized and opened in October 13, 2006, Aspects of Literary History, covering a period of about 150 years, the Museum also promotes Romanian literature at the national and international level, by protecting, restoring, developing, researching and exploiting the Romanian literary heritage, and contributing to the integration of Romanian literature into the circle of European cultural values.
