Information about Union Museum

The Federation Museum is housed in a small new mansion built in the early nineteenth century, which between 1859 and 1862 served as the royal residence of Alexandru Ioan Cuza; The ruling prince who united the Romanian principalities into one state in 1859. Later, during the First World War, the palace also hosted King Ferdinand after his withdrawal from Bucharest. The actual museum was opened in 1959 on the occasion of the centenary of the Romanian state. The museum's collection includes historical documents and original artifacts of Prince Alexander John Koza and his family.
