Information about Roman Theater of Cádiz
The Roman theater was built in Cadiz around 70 B.C., when Lucio Cornelio Balbo decided to expand the city's borders. An amphitheater and a theater were built in the area, after which it became one of the city's distinctive monuments. The structure of the theater has very ancient characteristics, with a horseshoe-shaped recess and parabolic side steps, and under the stands there is a large circulation gallery covered with a ring barrel vault. Today, only some traces remain of it.
