The Roman mosaic dating from the 2nd and early 3rd centuries AD is located in the southeastern part of Risan near the city of Perast. It measures 38 m x 31 m. It is located in a Roman villa consisting of a central courtyard and a hall with a row of rooms surrounding it. It is a floor mosaic showing various different artistic and geometric styles, one of them with a vegetal pattern and a rare representation of the reclining sleeping deity. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in Montenegro, and as such is classified as a protected cultural monument.
