The Stone Garden managed by the Local Tourism Promotion Board is the first of its kind in South India. It opened in 1996 in a building and garden built by the municipality of Palakkad. The pieces on display were designed by the famous sculptor Padmasree Neck Chand Saini. . The garden includes rock carvings, but it is not limited to that, as it also includes wonderful pieces made of recycled materials such as glass, used plastic cans, melamine pots, and others.
