Rio de Janeiro Zoo is a zoo located in the São Cristóvão district, in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. Among the foundation's main objectives is the development of animal-based environmental and educational activities, consisting primarily of fish, reptiles, birds and mammals. This zoo is located in a wooded park of 55,000 square meters and the collection currently includes more than 1,300 animals, including lions, tigers, birds, hippopotamuses, reptiles such as turtles, crocodiles, elephants, monkeys and many more. It is the place to spend quality time with family and friends.
