The Maracana Stadium was built in 1950 to host the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. It is a huge stadium with a capacity of more than 70,000 spectators. It is considered one of the main stadiums in the city, as it hosts many local and international matches, the Olympic Games in addition to a group of concerts. The stadium is also known as the stadium of journalist Mario Filho.
