Turkish Religious Affairs is a government department established to manage religious institutions and authorities within the Republic of Turkey. It was established in 1924 AD under the Turkish Constitution as an explicit successor to the religious hierarchy in the Ottoman era under the Islamic Caliphate. Today, the activities entrusted to this institution are numerous. In addition to its great role in preserving religious buildings in the country, it provides briefings to Turkey's tourists about Islamic history, accompanied by tours and trips to mosques and religious temples.
