Opened to the public in 1953, the Quinta das Cruzes Museum is one of the most famous and beautiful museums on Madeira. It houses an impressive collection of silver, antiques, Portuguese and foreign furniture, jewelry, ceramics, sculptures and collectibles that were part of the private collection of John Wetzler; A Czech national who lived in Madeira, in addition to the initial collection of decorative arts belonged to César Filipe Gomes.
