Information about Pyramid of Amenemhat III at Hawara
The pyramid of Hawara is located in the Egyptian city of Fayoum and is considered one of the most famous archaeological tourist facilities in it. Its history dates back to hundreds of years when it was built for Amenemhat III of the Twelfth Dynasty in ancient Egypt. It is located about 9 kilometers east of the Faiyum Oasis. The pyramid was built of brick and then covered with limestone, and it is sometimes called the Black Pyramid. When it was still standing, the Pyramid of Hawara was a large structure 58 meters high and each side of the base of the pyramid about 100 meters long.
