The Putrajaya Botanical Garden was inaugurated on February 4, 2003 by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. It is among the oldest gardens opened in Putrajaya, spread over an area of 230 acres next to a vast lake, and is also known as the “Mother of all Gardens” in This Federal District, which is divided into eight botanical themes, includes more than 750 species of plants from different continents, an ethnobotanical zone and an endangered crop and wild plant protection zone.
