Information about Praslin National Park
Praslin National Park was established in 1979 and is the second largest national park in the Seychelles. The park covers an area of 324 hectares, and its land elevations range from 80 meters to 367 meters above sea level. The park has gained international fame because it contains the Vallée de Mai forests, which UNESCO has placed on the World Heritage List because it includes the largest natural gathering of palm trees in the world. The park is also home to the black parrot, which is the national bird of Seychelles. In the park, visitors will be able to practice various activities and adventures, such as climbing, camping, and going on long and short hiking trails.
