The Prado Bridge, located in Vila de Prado, crosses over the Cavado River, linking the municipality of Vila Verde and Braga. It was built in the Middle Ages, and it is believed that it was the Roman track that connected Bracara Augusta with Asturica Augusta, and in 1510, after King Dom Manuel I confirmed (King Dom Manuel 1st) The Vila de Prado charter, a massive flood destroyed the bridge, and it was rebuilt in 1616 during the reign of Philip II of Portugal.
