Constructed in the 14th century AD and modified in the 18th century, Poultry Cross is a historic landmark, gathering area and crossroads site for markets, and has been classified by the English Heritage Foundation as a Grade I listed structure, and is the only surviving of 4 structures that existed in the city previously. In addition to its importance and its distinctive location in the heart of the old market, it is considered a suitable place to take the most beautiful souvenir photos.
