Porte de Mars is one of the tallest gates in the Roman world. It is about 32 meters long and 12 meters high. It was built at the end of the second century, and is the only one of the four monumental arches that gives access to the ancient city of Dorokotorum. The gate consists of three galleries, and under the central aisle, the carved reliefs allow us to discover a calendar representing the craftsmanship, agricultural work and the cultivation of grapes in the past.
