The Port Wine Museum is a branch of the Porto City Museum and has a permanent exhibition under the theme "City Government and Wine", which is dedicated to Portugal's famous Port wine. The museum is located a few meters from Alvandega at Piedras pier right by the river in a beautiful setting reminiscent of the late 18th century. In the museum, you can see how wine is made, its history, past and present, as well as artifacts related to wine production and transportation and 200-year-old bottles of wine.
