The House of the Infante is an important historical landmark in Porto. Founded for the first time in 1325, it was the only royal building in Porto and the place where guests of the royal family stay during their official visits. Nowadays, it has been converted into a small museum that houses an archaeological site and mosaic floors. It once adorned the building, as the house was reconstructed and remodeled on numerous occasions until the 20th century.
