The Pont du Gare is a Roman monument built in the middle of the 1st century AD, the main construction in the 50 km long aqueduct that supplied water to the city of Nîmes formerly known as Nemosos. It was built on three levels 50 meters high, allowing water to flow through the Gardon River ; Tourists visit it to walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding it and to take distinctive souvenir photos, and there are many restaurants near it to rest and eat delicious food.
