The Phoenician steps are a steep rocky staircase that leads from the city’s marina to the top of the mountain. The staircase is located in a charming natural area surrounded by water, green spaces and rocky cliffs. Tourists flock to it for hiking and enjoying the scenic landscapes, walking and mountain climbing. Going back to the history of the staircase, it may have been more likely that it was built by the ancient Greek colonists rather than the Phoenicians. This staircase was the only way to reach the municipality of Anacapri located on the island, which is located hundreds of feet from the Mediterranean Sea.
