University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology, commonly known as the Museum of Pennsylvania and located in Philadelphia, USA. It is considered one of the oldest museums in the city. It was opened in 1887 with the aim of preserving archaeological and anthropological artifacts. Today, the museum includes three floors of exhibition space with materials from the ancient Mediterranean world, Egypt, the Near East, Mesopotamia, East Asia, and Central America, in addition to to artifacts from the indigenous peoples of Africa and Native America.
