Los Aleres National Park is located in the Andes, north of Patagonia, specifically in the city of Chubut, where successive ice ages contributed to the formation of the region and led to the creation of amazing landscapes, especially containing stone assemblies swept away by glaciers, glacial depressions in circular motions and clear water lakes. Most of the vegetation cover consists of dense temperate forests that provide high mountain pastures below the rocky peaks of the Andes. This 2,630 km park includes some of the largest forests from the ancient world, which are still standing and green today! In 2017, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the presence of these large and amazing forests, and the site is necessary to protect the last patches of the associated Patagonian forests, almost unaffected by any human activity, and harboring many species of threatened or endangered local plants and animals. It is a very suitable place for an enjoyable vacation.
