The Church of the South or the Church of Our Lady of Fatima was the first temple to be built in Brasilia, which opened on June 28, 1958. After the foundation stone was built on October 26, 1957. This church was built in a hundred days with the intention of paying the promise of First Lady Sarah Kubitschek Kubitsche), to fix her daughter. The church was designed by the architectural designer Oscar Niemeyer, and its architecture refers to the nuns' hat. It houses the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, which has a unique design that is worth seeing. It is similar to the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima and both are stunning architectural buildings.
