Balgungsan Mountain is located 20 minutes from Daegu, and the mountain is considered one of the most important landmarks in the city for its richness in natural and archaeological sites. Among the landmarks, visitors will find Buddhist shrines, a large and active temple of God Dongwasa, and the Gunwe Triad Budda Grotto, and the mountain witnessed several important historical events, including The Battle of Mount Gong between Chinese and Korean forces in the year 927 AD.
