The National Gallery of the Spinola Palace is located in the Spinola di Pelliceria or Palazzo Francesco Grimaldi , a palace located in Piazza di Pelliceria in the historical center of Genoa in northwestern Italy. The palace was one of the selected private residences where it hosted distinguished guests of the Republic of Genoa during state visits. On 13 August 2006 it was added to the list of 42 palaces that now make up the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Genoa and is currently owned by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism and houses the National Gallery of Art in Palazzo Spinola (National Museum of the Spinola Palace). The gallery houses an extensive art collection, including paintings by Luca Cambiasi, Bernardo Castello, and Bernardo Strozzi.
