Padrao de Salado is a medieval historical monument in Guimaraes, northwest Portugal, located in Largo de Oliveira outside the Church of Our Lady of Oliveira and the interesting Alberto Sampaio Museum. It was built in the 14th century to commemorate the 1340 Battle of Salado in which the forces were defeated The Spanish and Portuguese combined a large army of Muslim invaders from North Africa and Muslim forces from Grenada, designated a national monument in 1910.
